Some of our white wine pairing suggestions are for Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. Or, you can choose your own favorite wine if one of these is not your preferred choice.

Remember "It’s all a matter of taste!"

Fruit and Dip

  • Thread fresh fruits such as pineapple chunks, apple wedges, pear slices, and orange sections onto wooden skewers.
  • Serve with curry dip made of equal parts of mayonnaise and sour cream with curry powder to taste.

Simple Smorgasbord

  • Spread water crackers with soft cream cheese with chives and onions. Top with thinly sliced smoked salmon and chopped fresh dill.
  • Spread water crackers with Guacamole and top with a slice of tomato.
  • Top assorted crackers with sliced Monterey jack cheese with jalapeno peppers. Top with salsa.
  • If desired, broil 30-60 seconds or until cheese melts.

Sun Dried Tomato Bites

  • Roughly chop 1 cup of sun dried tomatoes packed in oil.
  • Place in a small bowl and add chopped parsley and stir well.
  • Spread on plain crackers. Garnish with a slice of fresh basil.

Pinot Grigio is a light, crisp, white wine with moderate acidity which can make it an easy-sipping aperitif, as well as a great pairing with appetizers or dinner.

Polenta Cakes With Tomato Salsa

(Serves 6-8)
  • 1 Package of Prepared Polenta (in the refrigerated deli section in your market)
  • 6-8 Fresh Roma tomatoes chopped
  • ¼ to ½ cup finely chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped flat leaf Italian parsley
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

#1 Slice the polenta into ½ inch slices. Bake in the oven as directed on the package.

#2 Cut the roma tomatoes in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and use only the flesh of the tomato (try to keep the tomatoes dry). Chop the flesh of the tomato into small cubes. Place in small bowl.

#3 Add the chopped onions and parsley to the tomato and stir gently.

#4 Place the cooked polenta cakes on a plate and top with a spoonful of the tomato mixture. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper just before serving.

If the polenta rounds are too large, you can slice each round in half to serve.
