Biking in Wine Country

Explore Long Island’s North Fork wine region by bicycle. You can cycle along country roads and through local farms, vineyards and villages.

Bring along a picnic lunch on your visit to one of the wineries with a patio. You can taste their wines to enjoy with your picnic lunch. This is a beautiful way to spend a day in the country.

Or research the touring companies to plan a day of biking along the wine trail. Lunch is provided as well as wine tasting and touring wineries in the afternoon. Transportation is provided to and from the area.

Wine Camp

Adult camps are quite popular of late. My favorite is wine camp. If you are a wine lover, and want to learn about wine and wine-making, this is for you.

Wine camp on Long Island is a comprehensive 3 day weekend with accommodations at a first class Long Island Bed and Breakfast and includes delicious meals with wine pairings. glass of red wine

There are several participating wineries that host seminars/activities and tastings. The grand finale is five course dinner and wine pairing at a North Shore vineyard.

If this is your "glass of wine" then you might want to consider a weekend at Wine Camp.

Horseback Riding

Among the many things to do on Long Island is the very popular horseback riding. There are many stables on Long Island that give riding lessons. Listed are just two of the many stables that give lessons. Call for information and directions and to make a reservation.
