The Perfect Match -- Recipes and Wine Pairings

Do you find that some of your recipes are complicated? Maybe they have too many ingredients. I'm always disappointed when I can't find an ingredient in my local supermarket.

If the recipe meets those criteria, it's not going to fit into my schedule. So I've made it my mission to re-vamp some recipes that I really like and collect new recipes which can be prepared at a moment's notice. Nothing like have the boss join the family for dinner at the last minute.!!

For Any Occasion

Easy recipes are perfect for parties and placed on a buffet.

Cooking and preparing complicated menus when you are already stressed with other party preparations is not an option.

As mentioned earlier, easy to find ingredients is also key when preparing your menu for special occasions. I like using items that are usually in my pantry. Dried fruits, nuts, and different cheeses and olives will impart wonderful flavors and everyone will enjoy them.

Salads

Great for any time of the year, salad recipes are in abundance. In winter there are warm salads and in summer using fruit and nuts in the salads makes them refreshing and delicious.

I always like to have a salad recipe that is easy and can be prepared in advance. This is always a time-saver whether you are trying to get dinner on the table fast or entertaining for a crowd.

Old and New

I have re-made some of my family's traditional recipes for better fit on today's food pyramid. They are still delicious and much easier to prepare. I will be adding them regularly to my recipe list for you to enjoy.

Give them a try with the wine pairing suggestions for the adults.

For the children, make fresh iced green tea or lemonade.

Marinades -- Try these easy marinade recipes for your summer barbeque. You can prepare them ahead for easy entertaining.

Risotto -- This risotto with cranberries and roasted garlic is easy to prepare. It's a great side dish for chicken.

Pasta -- A pasta recipe that you can make your own. Just choose your favorite pasta, greens and cheese. A great dish for a buffet.

Simply Sautéed Chicken Breasts -- A quick dinner for two. Increase the ingredients and invite a few friends for a delicious dinner. We even have the perfect wine pairing.
